When we took the second trip we had already moved to Tennessee. It was August 2000
when we went. We were there during Lamas. This would be the last time Ruth would
see her mother. Ruth got off work at 3 am, she was working third shift at Kroger
and we picked her up at the store - she took the first shift driving, we were going
by I-40 to New Mexico. She drove to Nashville, then I drove to Memphis and crossed
the Mississippi and then Amy took here shift driving through Arkansas, we rotated
like this till we got to New Mexico. We stopped for the night someplace in Oklahoma.
The next day we hit Texas and had Dinner in Amarillo. Once we got into New Mexico
I drove . While there we go to see a lot of the sites around Silver City.
