FF 6
Front Cover

2007 update
This time we tried something a little different and I think it came out better than expected. The scanner used for this issue and the last is a newer and better scanner than the one used for the earlier issues and the printing on this issue was better than the issues before it, so scanning each page was easier. The bad paste ups of the originals and the unevenness of the originals cause a little bit of weirdness - but I think it better shows off how the zines were back then. Still no computers, but we were able to get reductions done at the printer and taken home and pasted up, so we were no longer restricted to original size only. The major breakthrough of this was art. Spot illos could be any size and we could have them reduced to use when and where we needed them. Changes are weird. I have on my desk a laser five in one which cost less than they typewriter that I used in typing the original issues of FF. and IF you compare 1976 dollars to 2007 dollars it cost a lot more than the laser printer - which can give me a finished product ready for mailing. Hope you like the new format - it takes a lot less time putting togetherr and it shows off the original a lot more like it really was.
