I was a big SF fan before it was popular to do so.  The first SF books I read were the Robert Heinlein so called Juveniles books. Books with names like “The Rolling Stones”and” Podkane of Mars”.  Even though they were sold as Juvenile books by the publisher and had kids as the main charters there were really not much different that some of his others.  He along with Issac Asimov and Arthur c. Clark were considered the Three Grand Masters of Science Fiction.  

This section we have divided up between Books, Movies, Television ,Star Trek and Star Wars.

I have included Space Opera in with SF, when in truth it is really fantasy, but it reads more like SF that it does what most people think of Fantasy.  Star Wars falls in this category. This is why I laugh when people try to have Star Trek vs Star Wars.  One is pretty hard SF and other Space Opera fantasy.

Most of my reading today is either Sf or fantasy, for a good part of my life I read all kinds of fiction and non-fiction books.  But ones I got to be “Old” I stick mainly to my most favorite genres. (Still read a lot of non-fiction, but not in books form.  I have e-books on my camera and on a lot of the programs I use on the computer. Love reading articles about history.
