WIZARD FOR HIRE: The Dresden Files are about the adventures of Harry Dresden, Wizard. The first few books are like detective novels with the supernatural whipped in. As the series goes on and Harry gets stronger and more “jobs” - the stories become more adventures than a mer detective story. All the stories have in common is a nice amount of humor - dark humor. In the books you meet such characters as Bob a spirit that helps him that inhabits a skull; Karrin Murphy of the Special Investigations division of the Chicago Police; Michael Chapenter, a former Knight of the Cross; Molly Chapenter, daughter of Michael, human Witch and become the Winter Lady; Mab, Queen of the Winter Court; Mister, Dresdens big grey cat; Mouse, Dresdens very large and extremely intelligent dog;Thomas Raith, a White Court vampire and half-brother to Dresden, and many more. His friends include humans, Vampires, Werewolves, Fairies, Pixies, Big Foot, gods, and more. Each book adds more characters - and at any time he can loose friends and foes that have been in the books since the beginning.

Jim Butcher author of the Dresden Files was born October 26, 1971. Besides the Dresden Files has written several other series: Codex Alera and Cinder Spires.

The Television show, which can be found on disc. It wasn’t awful, but they changed too many of the characters (names, look, and how they acted) and left way too much out. Paul Blackthorne made a good Harry Dresden. It came out in 2007.
